The girl's season got off to a busy start. They have played 4 games in the first two weeks of their season.. Each game has seen improvement in the team's performance. The team includes girls from Rosthern, Cudworth, Dalmeny, Wakaw.Borden, Hague and Hanley areas. So far they have played two Saskatoon teams and Melfort twice. They had a very exciting game against Melfort on Saturday November 23rd. In the final minutes of the game, the Wheat Kings pulled their goalie to tie the game in a flurry of action with less than one minute to play. Unfortunately the goal was disallowed and the Wheat Kings could not repeat the goal in the 45 seconds remaining in the game! The Wheat Kings play this coming Wednesday in Saskatoon at Harold Latrace Arena in Saskatoon at 9:30 pm.
