The Wheat Kings had a busy week. The Midgets Boys played Dalmeny last Wednesday evening. The Wheat Kings took the lead until the second period. The Dalmeny Furi tied it up to make an exciting 3rd period. Rosthern took the lead again by one goal 4-3. Dalmeny tried to tie it up again by pulling their goalie in the dying minutes of the game. Rosthern held their lead. They played again Saturday night in Shellbrook. They were defeated 2-7.

The girls also had a busy weekend, playing two games at home on the weekend. Their first game was played on Saturday against Saskatoon. Unfortunately they were defeated 2-7. They went on to play a great game against a second Saskatoon team on Sunday afternoon. The Wheat Kings took an early lead in the game. They were ahead 3 goals at the end of the second period. They gave up 3 quick goals allowing the Comets to tie the game. The Wheat Kings ended the game as a tie.
