The WheatKings travelled to Hague for their final game of the year needing a win to secure the Bronze Medal in the SVML league playoff. The teams had split the first two games each winning on home ice and that pattern unfortunately continued as Hague defeated Rosthern 6-3. The teams were tied 3-3 at the end of the second period but Hague pulled ahead to stay in the 3rd. While disappointed with the final result the WheatKings can be proud of their effort in getting the best of 3 series to the 3rd game after losing 10-3 in Hague in game 1. The second game at home was a thrilling 3-2 overtime win with Ryan scoring the OT winner on a great set up by Derek.
