The Rosthern WheatKing midget girls hockey team have advanced to the league final in the NSFHL. The team is comprised from a large geographic area but is centered this year in Rosthern and has four RJC girls on it's roster. The semi-final vs Elrose was a two game total point series which saw the WheatKings lose the opener 6-1 in Elrose. The return game in Rosthern was 3-2 in favor of the home side after 2 periods. An exciting third period was capped off by a goal by Lyndsey with 30 seconds left to tie the series at 8-8! It took until the second overtime period for the WheatKings to score and complete their amazing come back. They now advance to face Neilberg in the league final.
