The Winter Sports Season is in full swing. Both the Boys' and Girls' Basketball teams had a jump start into their seasons over the first weekend in December.
Girls' Basketball started their season with a tough loss against Asquith and then quickly headed into their home tournament. Over Dec 4 and 5 they beat Dalmeny and Hague, but lost to the tournament champion, VCA. Since then, coach Lisa Isaak lead the team to victory against Hepburn and our team continues to build confidence. Before Christmas break begins, the girls will head to Birch Hills for another tournament and battle Hafford during the first of a home and home. It should be a competitive season!

The basketball season is off and running. After tryouts and one official practice, the
RJC boys basketball season is rolling.
The boys started the season with their home tournament, losing their
opening game to Clavet, before bouncing back to beat Dalmeny. In the third game of the weekend, the boys
dropped a squeaker to cross town rivals RHS.
With a short lead up time, the boys are still working on gelling as a
group, but are putting some good stretches together as shown in their recent
victory of Hepburn. Come on out and
watch some great basketball action as the guys continue their season.
