Exciting finish to the 2012 Longhorns Football Seas

The Rosthern Longhorns finished their 2012 football season with a closely contested Provincial Quarterfinal game vs. the Preeceville Panthers.  The Panthers outlasted the Longhorns 31-30, scoring the winning touchdown with less than a minute left in the game!

Kelsey provides a great upfield push from his defensive end position.

Brayden gave the Longhorns a great lift, coming in to the game on a third down gamble and running for a long touchdown.

Derek was a key offensive player for the Longhorns as both a runner and a pass receiver.

The entire Longhorn's defense converged on the Panther's ball, denying him a touchdown with a great goal line stand!

Jake stands his ground and waits for the play to come to him.

Josh lines up behind center and calls out the signals to start the Longhorns offensive play.

Matt played another strong game at defensive end.

Morgan was the leader of the Longhorns defense all season from his safety position.  Here he stops the Preeceville quarterback for a limited gain.

The Longhorns had a successful season.  Their 5 wins-1 loss record in regular season play gave them first place in the Fort Carleton Conference for the third year in a row.  With only one graduating grade 12 player on the team, the Longhorns are well positioned for another strong season in 2013.
