Longhorns Finish Great Season with Silver Medal

The Rosthern Longhorn football season came to an end on a snowy and slippery field in Hudson Bay where the host Hudson Bay Riders proved themselves to be the better team that day.  The bigger Riders were able to use their size to advantage, while the winter conditions limited the faster Longhorns from doing all they were capable of.  Hats off to Hudson Bay on their championship season and to their volunteers who worked hard to make the field as playable as possible.

Despite the loss in the championship game the Longhorns had a fantastic season with great games and a lifetime of memories!!

Brendan leans into his man as he blocks downfield for the Longhorn offense.

Jared takes on the Riders blocker as he looks past him to track down the Hudson Bay ball carrier.

Jem and Matthew team up to take down the Riders pass receiver.

Jordan N. engulfs the Riders offensive player giving him no chance to gain any more yards.

Josh D. makes sure the Riders quarterback is stopped in his tracks.

Every point counts!  Michael pins the ball for Josh I. as he kicks another convert.

Matthew heads for daylight as he returns a Hudson Bay kick for a touchdown.

Michael avoids the Rider rush and spots Paul open down field.

Morgan joins forces with Matthew to bring down the tough Hudson bay Rider ball carrier.

Paul keeps an eye on the defense as he runs in the open field.

Ryan cuts to his left as he runs with the ball, causing the Rider player to lose his footing.
