RJC hosted the Annual Alumni Volleyball and Soccer Tournament this past weekend. The campus was a busy bustling place as alumni from as far back as 1971 returned to participate in the reliving of memories made years ago. 6 women's volleyball teams and 4 men's team participated in the volleyball round robin. Soccer players (about 45 of them) were divided randomly into 4 teams and played two full games in cool but sunny conditions. Spirits were high as all participated in the friendly competitions. It was a time of renewing connections with old friends, rediscovering skills and finding muscles you forgot you ever had!
Start organizing your teams for next year. It will be here before you know it. You don't have to have played volleyball or soccer before to participate. Alumni, family and friends are all welcome! Spectators are welcome too!
The next reliving of the glory days will be at the Basketball and Hockey Alumni Tournaments. It will take place January 10th and 11th 2014. Watch our website for contact information.
