Longhorns Football vs Aberdeen

The Rosthern Longhorns put their undefeated record on the line as they traveled to Aberdeen Sept. 29 to play the Aberdeen Crusaders.  The Crusaders also came into the game with an undefeated record.  With first place in Conference 4 on the line the Longhorns were sharp and effective from the first play on and lead 62-8 at half time.  The second half saw the Longhorns bench get the majority of the playing time as they went on to a 76-38 win.

The Longhorns travel to Birch Hills Oct. 6 and then finish their regular season play at home Oct. 13 vs. Hague.

The Longhorns offense kicks it into gear as the line provides all kinds of time for Michael to drop back and the play to develop.

Paul has a wide open running lane provided for him by the excellent blocking of Ryan, Josh T. and Jordan P.

Josh D. zeros in on the Aberdeen Crusader ballcarrier as he gets ready to make the tackle.

Michael uses an effective straight arm to ward off the Aberdeen defender as he carries the ball for a big gain.

Matt makes a tackle from his safety position.

Jem and Jared continue to anchor the Longhorns defense with their aggressive and active play on the line.

Morgan and Matt team up to take down the Crusader ballcarrier.

Jem gets a great outside push on the Aberdeen blocker, forcing the ball carrier to turn inside where the rest of the Longhorn defense is waiting.

Ryan is all alone in the open field as he tracks the ball thrown to him .

Brendan leads the way as the Longhorns converge on the Aberdeen Crusader punt returner.

Jordan N. dominates his opponent at the line of scrimmage as he opens a huge hole for Paul (21) to run through.

Josh in at quarterback.

Jake and Jordan N. come out of their stances at the beginning of the play to block for the Longhorn backfield.

The Longhorns defense is "all in" on this play as line and linebackers blitz to put pressure on the Aberdeen quarterback.
