The Rosthern Longhorns opened the 2015 football season on a high note, defeating visiting Spiritwood High School 46-36. Rosthern led throughout the game with touchdowns coming on long runs by quarterback Brock Z., running back Carter D. and end Jordy K. (RHS). Spiritwood created a couple of turnovers in the second half and capitalized on them narrowing the score but Rosthern got a late touchdown from Carter to put the game away.
LongHorns see action again on Thursday when they travel to Big River for their second league game on Sept 17th at 4:00 .
