RJC Boys Basketball Team Play Season Opener

The RJC boys basketball team opened their season on Wednesday, Nov. 28 in
Dalmeny.  It took a little time for both teams to shake off the early season
jitters, but RJC was able to capitalize on their height by scoring in the
paint to take a one point half-time lead.  The second half was highlighted by
RJC's stifling zone defense, allowing them to cruise to a 60-49 victory.
Leading scorers for RJC were Liam Peters with 27 points and Nick Hawrishok
with 18 points.  There is a lot of basketball action coming up. RJC's home
opener is on Monday, Dec. 3 versus Saskatoon Christian School, followed by an
away game at VCA on Wednesday, Dec. 5.  The RJC boys will be back at VCA on
the weekend for an invitational tournament, Dec. 7-8.
