The Rosthern Midget Wheat Kings are wrapping up a busy schedule of games and tournament play. The team participated in the SHA Midget "A" Provincial Tournament, playing a two game total point series against the Kerrobert Tigers. Kerrobert won the first game in Rosthern 5-2 and the Wheat Kings won the rematch in Kerrobert 3-1. Kerrobert advanced to the next round of playoffs with an overall winning score of 6-5 in the close, well-played series. The action pictures below are from both of the provincial games.

The Wheat Kings also played in an midget tournament in Melfort Jan. 28-30. The team lost a close game to the Estevan Midget Bruins. The game was tied 1-1 at the end of the second period and ended 4-1 in favor of the Bruins. The Wheat Kings won their other two games, beating the Regina Jets 4-2 and downing Aberdeen 10-1. The Wheat Kings are also finishing up the regular season in league play. They defeated Hague 10-1 and play their final two regular season games in Cudworth Feb. 1 and in Warman Feb. 3.
