Girls Soccer: 2009 PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS!!!!!

The RJC Girls' Soccer team are provincial champions! On Halloween weekend the team braved the snow and the cold, as well as other opponents, to claim the coveted prize. This is the first team championship for an RJC team since 1998 and the first soccer championship for the school. The final match was played against the three-time reigning champions, and host of the tournament, Muenster High. Earlier in the year RJC defeated Muenster, so the team knew they could do it. The belief that they were already champions, regardless of the score of the final game, was also an attitude that served the team well. In the end RJC defeated Muenster 2-0, and claimed their title as 2009 1A GIRLS' SOCCER PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS!!!!!
